LMR36510: LMR36510 Questions?

Part Number: LMR36510

Hi Sir,

Pls help for below questions? thanks.

  1. What diferentt between LMR36510FADDAR and LMR36510ADDAR?
  2. Pls kindly help review schematic as below. Another, we measured PG pin is low, is correct?

Thanks, Ian.

  • Hello Ian,

LMR36510FADDAR operates in Forced PWM mode while the LMR36510ADDAR operates in Auto mode which allows for PFM at light load. If light load efficiency is a big concern, then consider LMR36510ADDAR but if minimizing output voltage ripple is a big concern stay with the LMR36510FADDAR.

The resistor R40 which is connected to the PG pin should be a large current limiting value if the PG pin is going to be used. Suggest a 10kOhm resistor instead.

The PG pin should have a HIGH value when the output is properly regulating and a LOW value when the output is not properly regulating, but only when connected to a suitable voltage supply through a current limiting resistor.

If you plan to use the PG pin, replace R40 with 10kOhm, 12V0_REG_TO_5V_EN net should instead be connected to Vcc, and the logical signal to be used as an enable signal should be read directly from the PG pin.

Let me know if there are any questions with the above explanation.

    Regards,

    Harrison Overturf
