Hi Kagawa-san,
The temperature range is configurable depending on the battery needs. The acceptable range will be depending on the battery requirements for battery charging.
Hi Anthony-san,
The Ts pin is a function to check the presence or absence of a battery, and the temperature cannot be set as JEITA.
Is this understanding correct?
Best regards,
Kagawa
Hi Kagawa-san,
Yes this is correct.
The TS pin can be used as a presence or absence of the battery if the NTC is added/removed when the battery is added/removed. This lets the TS pin float when the battery is removed and charging would be disabeld.
The temperature thresholds do not allow for JEITA charging (charging with reduced current at some temperature thresholds). The device will simply disabled charging if the battery temperature is detected to be within the acceptable temperature range set.
Hi Anthony-san,
How to set the acceptable temperature range ?
Best regards,
Kagawa
Hi Kagawa-san,
The temperature range would be based on the choice of the NTC that is used as well as any series and parallel resistors that are configured. This device is not currently included in our NTC calculator but if there is some information on the desired temperature threshold, I can see if it is possible with the the NTC that the LM3658 is designed for (10-kOhm 103-AT) with any series and parallel resistors.
