TPS53318: TPS53318 is protected.How to deal?

Part Number: TPS53318

Vin=19V Vout=4.3V ,Iout=6A,

We used TPS53318 to replace the battery, but due to the system reason, we could not avoid short-term charging, and this charging current caused TPS53118 to enter the protection state, without voltage output. The measured USB terminal voltage was 5.13V and 0.2a input current. In this case, how to avoid entering the protection state and maintain the output?

  • The TPS53318 has an OVP function that will latch off the device when the output voltage is ~+20% greater (FB pin) than the regulation voltage.

    Typically, diodes are used in the supply lines when there are multiple sources to a common rail but 6A is alot current.

    Can the TPS53318 output voltage be raised to 4.5-5V to avoid tripping OVP.
