Hi Mark,
BQ25790 functions in default mode with default I2C settings without a host providing I2C communication. BATREG is set by PROG pin resistor. Input current limit is set by ILIM pin resistor. Charge current and switching frequency is either 2A or 1A beginning on PROG pin.

Thanks for your feedback, if so, the defaut setting of BQ25790 met customer spec, the SDA and SCL could be floating, right?
Could you also to share datasheet with me? due to not completely of datasheet showed on TI website

I am so sorry. I interchanged the numbers and responded regarding BQ25790. I will send this to the correct engineer for the BQ25970.

Hi Mark,
I2C communication is required in order to enable charge for the BQ25970. SDA and SCL cannot be left floating.
