Part Number: TPS563210A
Hi team,
My customer use 1uH for output inductor on schematic. Our datasheet recommend the value is 1.5uH - 4.7uH.
What is the effect when they use 1uH inductor?
Vin = 8.5 - 17V
Vout = 1.8V
Iout = 2.1A
Best regards,
Hardy Xue

Hi,
Smaller inductor will bring in larger current ripple , and may need more Cout to reduce Vout ripple if there is requirement on output ripple .
Efficiency may drop a little .
And please also note that devices may trigger OC protection before full loading with smaller inductor and bad load transient performance.
We recommend to follow the table 2 in datasheet .
