LP5523: How do I correspond to 9 channels in the device tree?

Hi TI team,

I know LP5523 LED driver has 9 channels. Our project uses two LP5523 LED drivers. But we found the LED behave strangely.

So I want to confirm if the device tree 'chan0' is corresoinding to 'D1'?

Could you please help me to check if my dts file is correct about LP5523?

Hi Kirk,

Sorry to tell you that our Shanghai team are not familiar with Linux driver and it will be hard for us to solve the problem. But I think it seems be OK with your dts file. Could you describe how strange with the LED behave? are the addresses of two chips same?

Hi Monet,

The led corresponding to the channel is disordered.

For example, D1 connection is Red1 lamp, but when I perform 'echo > 100 / sys/class/leds/Red1/brightness' command, but light has a green light...

Hi Kirk,

It seems to be the incorrect mapping between the schematic and code. Have a try to modify the 'chan-name' in the dts file to the real channel.

Hi Dan,

Our linux kernel version is 5.4.24.

I saw the link you shared, about lp5523, I have some questions:

1. Is the channel name arbitrary?

2. What does reg mean? What does it stand for?

3. What does the color attribute determine?
