Do I have to use Q1 and Q2 or can I use a host processor to control them instead of the charger’s ACDRV and CMSRC pins?
If not used, a reverse blocking Schottky diode is highly recommended to prevent the battery from back powering the charger input pins when in battery only/supplement mode. If CMSRC and ACDRV are not used, connect CMSRC to ACN and leave ACDRV floating
  • Hi Ricardo

would like to ask BQ24133 STAT status. At present, the circuit will use STAT to connect to LED to display the two statuses of battery charging and charging completion. Use BQ24133 EVM to verify that a and b function normally, but the battery is fully charged and STAT is still Low. CE is used to control the EVM. , If there is no MCU to control CE, how do I make STAT be H after charging?

  • Gareth,

You have disabled charge termination by pulling TTC to LOW. When termination is disabled, the charger will not terminate autonomously and external circuitry or a host control will need to disabled charging by pulling ISET to LOW.

    Best Regards,

    Ricardo
