Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP8866-Q1, LM3424
Hello TI e2e team,
im design baclight driver card for multi displays
the VIn range is 14V to 35V
the output voltage change IAW the LEDs, 10 up to 100 with current of 100-400mA
i was thinking to use sepic toplogy, up to 4 drivers and driver with costant current
each LED is 3V+-0.2 => Vo = 28V-32V for 10 LED and up to 75V
analog dimming to ajust current between the display and PWM dimming for brightness control for true color dimming
PWM freq is 120Hz and dim ratio is 5000:1 = > min pulse of 1.6uSec , ( the current wavefore should be stable and without ripple)
the 8860 (or one of is brothers) and high dimming range but
im not sure if at sepic option ?
can is support the high voltage ?
if not can i parrale the LEDs 13&13 ? (assumeing the are from the same BIN)
if yes can by HW only ( it prefared not usin SW/i2c reggisters)
the other option is the LM3432 (or one of is brothers) that is for 72V (lossing few leds is accatable)
im not sure it can handle the dimming ratio, if it works at 1MHz or higher can it support/provide accourt current to the LEDs ( homogenous without ripple)
is simulation avalable to verify it?
can you suggest of more suitable P/N
thanks in advance
