Hi,

I am using LMR23610-Q1 as follows:

Vin= 5.5 to 27 V

Fsw= 2 kHz sync with external clock

Iout = 0.4A

Vout = 5.5V

I am worried about what would happen at Vin_min = 5.5V. What would be the Vdrop across the IC and what Vout whould I get?

What would be the minimum Vin to get Vout= 5.5V in the given conditions?

Hello Silviu,

Please see page 9 of the datasheet, it has dropout curves for 5V output. I expect the delta to be similar for 5.5V output. This curve is for 400kHz operation

The delta from VIN to VOUT would depend on the load current and inductor DCR.

The curves were generated using the evaluation board, the inductor has 0.09ohm DCR in that case.

Also, please refer to section 7.3.5 of the datasheet to calculate other conditions (e.g. higher switching frequency).
