BQ34Z100-G1: float type?

Hello;

When converting CC Gain to the float representation recognized, it looks very similar to the Xemics FP used on the bq78350. Is it the same? I ask because my Xemics2Dec() routine returns the correct value when converting the gauge's CC Gain.

Hello Jeffrey,

Gauges and monitors use similar internal structure, so it is likely your routine can convert from both the monitor and gauge.

? The bq76952 uses IEEE 754 floating point, while the bq78350 uses Xemics. The bq34z100 does not specify, but SLUA640B shows a conversion routine which works. However, my question is, is the FP used on the 34z100 the same as the 78350?..

Hello Jeffrey,

I am not familiar with the monitors floating point values or format, I believe they should be the same conversion since they are using similar firmware.
