LM2931-N: Request for the Datasheet of LM2931M-5.0/NOPB

Part Number: LM2931-N

I am unable to find the right datasheet for the part LM2931M-5.0/NOPB. If I am looking for the datasheet associated with the mentioned part in TI website, I am finding the datasheet of LM2931-N. There is mention of LM2931A, LM2931N electrical specifications in the associated datasheet but no exact mention of LM2931M electrical specifications. So, would you please provide me with the datasheet which has specifications of LM2931M-5.0/NOPB?

  • Hi,

the part you mentioned, LM2931M, and the part number LM2931M-5.0/NOPB are covered by the LM2931-N datasheet you referred to. Below is a quick screenshot of the Package Option Addendum which shows all the orderable part numbers that the datasheet covers (this can be found near the end of our datasheets).

  • Thanks for your response Kyle. As mentioned in the above, I am looking for electrical specification for LM2931M part. There is no mention of this part in the entire datasheet except in the orderable device. So, would you please provide the electrical specification's for LM2931M part?

As highlighted above, I want to know what would be the range of output voltage for LM2931M device. would you please clarify on this?

  • Hi,

Sorry my answer wasn't more clear. The M you are referring to is actually the package designator (SOIC) and doesn't indicate anything different about the die, so the specs you are looking for are in the column listed as LM2931-N-5.0.

Note that the -N is simply to help indicate the National Semiconductor version of this device since TI had it's own LM2931 device  before acquiring National Semiconductor. The naming convention can be a bit confusing but unfortunately we can't change it due to legacy designs and customers who need to continue using the same part number for their on going manufacturing.

Did you have any other questions?
