Hello Team,

We have a TFT 7 inch LCD backlight application. The backlight rating is max 20V/ 150 mA. Attached is the diagram we want to use in our system. Please let us know if the circuit connection is fine. If not, please suggest us a part for the same application.

Hi Shwetha,

1.Please mind that the Vout is just the booster's output and you don't need another power line to drive LEDs.

2.This device is featured with 70mA@max per channel. For your requirements, every three channels are combined together to driver LEDs.

I recommend you TPS61196 and LP8866, which are more proper for your application.

Hi Robin,

We don't have independent strings to control the LEDs.

We only have two pins, anode and cathode. In between the two pins, we have this strings of LEDs.

If so, I think single channel device is proper to you. How about TPS61169? It's cheaper and small-size.

Hi Shwetha,

You can separate the VIN and VBAT, and apply 12V input voltage on VBAT while lower voltage on VIN.
