I have an evaluation board LM5069EVM-627 surge stopper and reverse voltage protection. To turn it on and off, I would like to use a signal from an MCU (3.3V) that would switch, a MOSFET (2N7002), just like on the LM5069 datasheet figure 26. I would connect the source from the MOSFET to the same GND as the LM5069.

Could there be any problems due to the connection of GND to SGND via diode D1. My design is 24V / 22 A Hot Swap.

Thanks for reaching out!

I don't see any issue. The signal from MCU should be > diode D1 drop + VT of 2N7002 to disable the LM5069.

Thanks for the quick reply. But I have another question. My design requires the use of a dv / dt circuit. Gates of all four MOSFETs would be connected to a dv / dt circuit which is connected to the same GND as the LM5069. I don’t think there’s any obstacle to that, either.
