TPS62135: VSEL-pin

Hi team,

My customer is considering to use TPS62135. Could you support the questions below?

1. Regarding VSEL-pin.

The Figure 83. Typical Application using VSEL in the d/s shows how to use the VSEL-pin. R2 and R3 are in parallel. Customer would like to connect R2 and R3 in series. Please refer to the following pptx file. Is that acceptable? Could you let me know if there are any concern for the usage?

2. Regarding VSEL-pin, EN-pin, and MODE-pin.

Are there internal pull down resistors in these pins?

1. This should be fine. Just ensure the design of R2 and R3 provides the correct output voltage. Effective bottom resistor is R2+R3 when VSEL=LOW and just R2 when VSEL=HIGH. Any specific reason for this implementation?

2. The datasheet does not specify anything about internal pull down resistors on these pins. I will need to check with the team and see if there are internal pull down resistors.

It is unlikely we will have answer by then as most people are out of office due to Thanksgiving holidays in the US. I have pinged the team to see if they can look it up. I will let you know once I have an update.

Yamaguchi-san,

There are no pull-down resistances on any of the EN, VSEL, or MODE pins. Please do not leave any of these pins disconnected.
