The PFM-PWM transition varies with Vin, Vout, passive component tolerances (Lout, Cout), and device process variations. To have an idea of the VIN and VOUT contribution to the PFM-PWM transition, you can refer to the figure below.

Due to several factors that affect the PFM-PWM transition, it is not possible to pinpoint the load current the device will change the mode of operation.
