LM2940C: Is there max. restriction for input capacitor?

Hi Team

My customer is considering use LM2940CS-5.0/NOPB.

He wants to add capacitor to input side in order to keep input voltage stable.

Is there a max. restriction for input capacitor?

I couldn't find the info in the datasheet.

Hi Hung,

No there is no maximum input capacitor for this device.

In general the lower the impedance of the supply voltage the better as this will keep the input voltage from moving as much.
