LMR23630-Q1: How to avoid the EOS damage while in soldering by handle?

Hi Team,

My customer used LMR23630-Q1 for Auto traction inverter application, and reported very easy to damage while doing the soldering by handle. I've checked the AGND & PGND which is connected together outside, and the PCB layout followed the guide lines in datasheet. Could you kindly give comments on how to avoid the soldering issue？

Hi Benjamin,

When hand soldering ICs, care must be taken for proper grounding of the soldering iron and proper ESD protection for the operator.

Hi Jason,

This issue has been fixed, and the root cause is the test equipment with higher leakage current, after connecting to the GND of the test equipment, there is no failure reported.
