BQ2002: About the state transition diagram in Fig. 2 of the BQ2002/F and BQ2002E/G data sheets

Part Number: BQ2002

Hi,

I would like to ask you about the state transition diagram in Figure 2 of the BQ2002/F and BQ2002E/G datasheets.
(question 1)
The conditions for shifting from trickle charging to recharging are described as VCC for BQ2002/F and VBAT for BQ2002E/G, and it is probable that one is positive and the other is incorrect.
Which is the correct description? Or are they both correct?

(Question 2)
Regarding the above conditions, which item in the data sheet should be referred to for the function explanation?
I can't find the description in the datasheet.

(Question 3)
What does the symbol with the arrow(→) combined with the horizontal bar(-) described in the above conditions mean? (The part of the symbol indicated by the red circle)

Best regards,

I believe these are both correct. NiMH/NiCD batteries have a few different characteristics that tell if the battery needs to be recharged: voltage and temperature. For the temperature (2/F), this is more accurate when the charge is off and so the device is checking that based on the CC pin I believe. For the voltage (E/G), battery voltage dropping below 2V i sused.

You can find these in "Starting a charge cycle" section

This would be crossing a threshold depending on the direction of the arrow. For the one you've circuled this is indicating the condition is battery voltage falling below 2V
