Hi sir,

Understood that Bq2407x charger ic comes with internal short circuit protection when Vbat-Vout>0.25v,

Is there any method to disable the short circuit protection or increase the threshold?

    Hi,

    The internal short circuit protection cannot be bypassed. What is the need for increasing the threshold?

    Hi Sir,

    Currently trying to add some big ecaps at the output pin of the charger ic,

    but the internal short circuit protection is triggered during circuit is powered up by battery,

    hence would like to seek for your advice if there is any method to overcome this issue.

    Is there any restriction when increasing the capacitance at the output pin of the charger ic?

    Based on the datasheet section 8.3,

    the Iout max is 4.5A, is there any charger ic (higher Iout(max) + same footprint as BQ2407x family) that could be recommended ?
