TPS92691EVM-001: Modifications for higher current; less duty cycle, longer on period

Part Number: TPS92691EVM-001

Hi

after reviewing the schematic I ASSUME I change R1 for higher current. However it is a single diode VF = 1.8V @ 1.5A. Most of your applications are or boost configuration for more than 1 LED. The evm datasheet does not address the buck portion of the schematic. Is this part appropriate for my application: single diode, VF =1.8V @ 1.5A for 3msec 30Hz dc or 1.5A for 1msec 3Hz? Can you help me modify the evm for this application. This is a application for testing in a laboratory so I would prefer to modify an evm rather than design a board around it which can be done but in the interest of time...

Thanks

  • Hi Sara,

What is your input voltage and are you just using PWM input to command your current pulse?  Are you planning to design and layout a board eventually or you are just needing one board for your testing?  The reason I ask for that is that the evaluation you have above is a SEPIC and should be able to drive the load that you have.

    Thanks Tuan
