TPS7A66-Q1: PG question

Part Number: TPS7A66-Q1

Hi Team,

I see the PG comments in datasheet.

Power good. This open-drain pin must connect to VOUT via an external resistor. VPG is logic level high when VOUT is above the power-on-reset threshold.

Could you let me know why TPS7A66-Q1 PG pin "must" connect to Vout?

As I know, most of PG could connect to any power rail less than Vout. The threshold will be 90% of Vout. This is my first time seeing the PG pin must connect to Vout.

Regards,

Roy
