Dear Specialists,

My customer has a question about Start Up at Pre Bias condition.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

An external 3.3V is connected to the output of the TPS63031 via a 50kΩ resistor.

(1)Does it support pre-bias startups?

(2)If OK, current flows into the device from 3.3V through a resistor.

Is there a limitation on the inflowing current of output pin?

Sorry,

TPS63031 is a typo.
The correct is TPS63001.

Hi Shinichi:

It can support prebias startup.

But I didn't get the point about 50kΩ. If you are talking the load current, then it should be 3.3V/50k=66uA.

I understand TPS63001 and TPS63031 are support PreBias, is it correct?

Yes, external 3.3V is supplied to the OUT of TPS63001 or TPS63031 via a 50kΩ resistor.

The device OUT is supplied with a current of 66 μA, is there any problem.

The customer'd like to know how much the inflow current of the OUTPUT pin can withstand.

What's the target Vout you set? Is it same as 3.3V or lower than that?

HI Shinichi:

If the Vout is same as prebias, You can set the converter in power save enable. So there is no reverse current.

When there is no input power supply(0v),device is shut down.

At this time external 3.3V is applied to the Vout of the device and current flows in.

Is there any problem?

Is there a limit value for inflow current?
