TPS54424: EN negative voltage above -0.3v

Part Number: TPS54424

Hi team,

My customer is using the TPS54424 now. We want to check whether the EN negative -0.42v with 2ns has risks. The waveform is below. Could you please share the comments about the risks and share the reason? Thanks.

  • Hi

Our US team will give you feedback after holiday.

    Best regards

  • Hello,

According the max operation condition of the device, the EN pin should not be driven below or above the max allowed operating condition for any period of time, in your case -0.42 is outside that boundary of -0.3V to 6.5V.

Stresses beyond those listed under Absolute Maximum Ratings may cause permanent damage to the device. These are stress ratings only, which do not imply functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated under Recommended Operating Conditions. Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability.

One thing I can see is to reduce the fall time and the undershoot of the pin below -0.3V will be reduced.

    Thanks!

    Tahar
