BQ2002: How to use the device of BQ2002/F

Part Number: BQ2002

Hi,

I would like to ask you about how to use the BQ2002/F device.
(question 1)
Is it necessary to disconnect the supply voltage to this device once when connecting another battery and charging from the beginning after detecting the end of charging?
Or can the device remain powered and recharge with another battery?
(Question 2)
Regarding the end of PVD, the data sheet states that fast charging ends if VBAT is 2.5mV±2.5mV less than previously measured values.
At this time, I am worried whether a slight voltage fluctuation will cause a false detection.
Is PVD detection only judged by the voltage value?
Or is there a separate function that detects inside the device to prevent false positives?

Best regards,

There are two conditions that can start a charge cycle:

    1. Application of power to Vcc
    2. The voltage at the BAT pin falling through the maximum cell voltage of about 2V and the the battery is within the configured temperature range

As a battery disconnect may trip the Negative delta voltage for termination, it would be more of a guarantee to disconnect and reconnect the power supply when connecting another battery.

Yes, PVD is only voltage value but voltage measurements are taken every 570us and averaged in 9.17s increments for 32 measurements in PVD mode. This will minimize the effect of any AC line ripple.
