TPS544B20: Can TPS544B20 meet our requirement?

HI TI expert,

We need a power device to meet the following requirements:
1. Typical VIN=12V

2. default VOUT=0.82V without programming

3.Vout can be adjusted on the flying 

4.Iout max=15A

According the above requirements ,we found TPS544B20 looks proper but need confirmation.

Please help to confirm if it can meet our requirement ?

    As long as the adjustment range on VOUT is within the +/- 10% available range for the TPS544B20, then yes.

    If your application does not require digital telemetry, you could consider the TPS549B22

    If you require a larger range of adjustment, you could consider the TPS546B24A

    Thanks Peter for support.

    1.TPS544B20 datsheet describes the adustment range is -20%~10%, how about your saying:VOUT is within the +/- 10% available range for the TPS544B20, then yes.

    2.What is the advantage of  TPS549B22 Vs  TPS544B20

    Yes, the VREF_TRIM function allows the output voltage to be adjusted from -20% (480mV) to +10% (660mV) but the thresholds for Power Good do not adjust with VREF_TRIM so adjusting the output voltage more than +/- 10% can trigger PGOOD to go low.  That is why I would recommend the TPS544B20 only for applications where the output voltage adjustment range is +/- 10%

    The TPS549B22 is a simpler device with fewer PMBus options than the TPS544B20 and internal D-CAP3 compensation instead of external compensation.  It also uses a newer generation of Power FET, so it is generally more efficient than the TPS544B20, but the TPS544B20 offers output voltage, current, and temperature where the TPS549B22 does not offer telemetry.
