UCC28050: Maximum Frequency

Hi,

Good day. I hope you are well.

Our customer want to know what is the maximum frequency of operation possible using the UCC28050. They want over 250KHZ or higher. Can the chip do it?

 Otherwise, can you suggest a fit form and functional equal that operates at higher frequencies?

    Hi Cedrick,

    there is no special designed in the controller to limit the max frequency.

    So 250kHz should be ok.

    You can calculate the PFC inductor  followed by the datasheet by using minimum frequency.

    when you are tryinng to higher the frequency, please make sure PFC mosfet /inductor and the controller meet the temperature requirement.
