LMG1020: Internal Setting Time and Delay Time of LMG1020

Hi TI expert,

Want to use LMG1020 to generate a 500ps pulse-like waveform.

If I put a 500ps control pulse signal in the input signal (PWM) pin of LMG1020, will a 500ps pulse generate after the propagation delay time at the output pin?

Or the internal setting time will eat the 500ps input, and nothing will be observed at the output pin?

Thanks for reaching out.

The LMG1020 will accept typical input pulses of 1ns (on IN+) that will generate the equivalent pulse on the output pins. In your application, given the narrow pulse, the output may not recognize the input commands. I will therefore recommend using 2 pulses on IN+ and IN- (one pulse on IN+ with its delayed version 500ps on IN-) to generate the desired pulse width according to Figure 10 in the datasheet.

Good idea worth to try. I not pay attention that the internal AND logic structure of the LMG1020. Thanks.
