BQ27Z561-R2: fault reporting and reset SOH/cycle count

This gauge does not control the protection FETs so its reporting is limited. There is IVT min/max can be saved in the lifetime data. See section 5 of the TRM.

For these indicators customer should look at bq28z610-r1 within the safety status bit register.

SOH and cycle count can be reset on bq27z561-r2, yes.

Hi Ann,

For LiFePO4 bq28z610-r1 is not a good fit,. It does not have the LFP_relax function.

Bq27z561-r2 or bq27742-G1 are the good options for 1s lifepo4. Also can consider bq27220.
