TPS3700: Spread sheet calculation vs TI-Tina SPICE simulation

Part Number: TPS3700

Hello,

I have been seeing discrepancy between spread sheet calculation and TI-Tina SPICE simulation for TPS3700.

Using all the default values from the spread sheet supplied by TI, there is 0.4V difference in over-voltage monitoring, 0.3V difference in under-voltage monitoring between spread sheet calculation and SPICE simulation.

  • Notice all of the resistor values is identical to the spread sheet calculation. They're unrealistic resistor values, but that's how I check how large the discrepancy is.
  • Spread sheet:
  • TI-TINA Simulation

My application does care about the difference in this case, and I would like to know which one is more accurate? Should I trust spread sheet calculation more or the SPICE simulation more?
