Hi all,

Can you tell me how to make 6-phase operation DCDC converter using 3 EVMs? Do I need an extra oscillator input? If you have any schematics or documents, can you share that?

Hi Ryo,

If you need 60 degrees phase separation, an external clock circuit is required. A 6-phase circuit is just an extended version of the 2-phase circuit shown in the datasheet. Tie the COMP pins of each controller together as well as the SS pins. For the EVM specifically, there are SMT switches on the bottom side of the board to achieve this.

Thank you for your reply. Let me clarify what are needed for 6-phase operation. Does this configuration needs 3 oscillator which has 60-degree-difference each other? Do you have any reference schematic or block diagram that can achieve this?
