Hello expert,

We would like to know how to calculate RC snubber at input. How many power would this resistor handle? How to choose capacitor? Thanks a lot!

    Hi Ann,

       Choose a capacitor with a rating of 2x the input voltage to account for derating. Based off of the input voltage and capacitance you can calculate power dissipation across the R in the RC circuit, and accordingly choose a package for the resistor that can account for the expected thermal dissipation.

       You can also take a look at the EVM circuit.
