TPS50601-SP: No Pspice model available

Part Number: TPS50601-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS50601A-SP,

Dear TI community,

I don't see any Pspice model in the design tools and simulation section. All available models are for TINA TI.

Don't you have models for Pspice? I would like to perform some simulations on the Average and Transient models.

Thank you in advance for you reply.

Kind regards,

  • Hi,

Yes, we do not currently have pspice models available for the non-A version of the TPS50601-SP.  These models do exist for the TPS50601A-SP device which is an improved version of the device with better VREF tolerance and radiation performance.  We are looking into whether this model exists and will get back to you soon.  However, is there a reason the newer A-version of the device is not being used?

    Thanks

    Christian

  • Hi Luis,

I am told that you can import the lib file included with the Unencrypted Transient TINA model (SLVMDD3.ZIP) into PSpice. You will need to alter the file extension so that it is lowercase “lib” instead of uppercase “LIB” in order to associate it with the part symbol in PSpice.

The same applies to Unencrypted Average TINA model SLVMDE9.ZIP; import the lib file changing the extension name to lower case.

    Regards,

    Christian
