Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27282
Hi,
I'd like to know the mass production time of UCC27284.
And what is the difference between UCC27284 and UCC27282.
Thanks.

Hello Eric,
The main difference is that UCC27282 has interlock and UCC27284 does not.
As for MP date, please reach out to local sales office for estimated timeline.

Hi,Mamadou
Thanks for reply.
If the main difference between UCC27284 and UCC27282 is just interlock,
the significance of UCC27284‘s launch seems not so necessary.
What are the focuses of these two products and which one should I choose for servo control.
Regards
Eric
Hello Eric,
I work with Mamadou supporting these driver devices.
For servo motor control, I assume the power train will be a half bridge. If the driver is driving a half bridge MOSFET configuration you normally do not want the low side and high side FET's on at the same time. In that case you are better off with the UCC27282 since it will prevent MOSFET cross conduction.
For the target markets in general: The UCC27282 is targeting half bridge based power converters and motor drives (various configurations). The UCC27284 allow use in topologies that require both drivers to be on at the same time which include synchronous rectifiers and some power topologies such as two switch forward converters.
