TPS63806: 3.3V stabilizer

For the Vin/Vout range the TPS63806 should be a proposal solution. What's the load condition?

I have not yet performed the full current and power calculations.

The  TPS63806 should drive the FPGA_VCCIO (about 100mA) some SN74CB3T3245 and more peripherals components. about 1A in total.

It's should operates in temperature range of -40 to 80 deg. 

Also, I am considering using this component to drive a transceiver that can consume about 50mA while receiving data , and about 0.5A-1A when transmitting via a transformer.

I have a new question regarding this issue:

The PCB is currently in production and I have put it on hold.

It's seems that the TPS63806 is out of stock and the factory lead time is about 12 weeks, which is  too long.

I have considered using the TPS63811, which is on stock, instead, for the 1st boards, by disconnecting the PG and FB pins, and connecting the MODE pin to GND. Will it work for the same purposes as before (stabilizer and inductive load) ?

If yes, will  the output voltage be 3,3V (VSEL=GND and VOUT Register at 'low range')?

Hello Yossy,

The problem is that bit 5 in the control register sets TPS63811 by default to disabled. You need to enable the device via I2C. TPS63810 would work the way you want to operate it.

unfortunately, the tps63810 is out of stock too.

For now , I will use the TPS63805. I hope that the tps63810  or tps63806 will be available soon, and i will be able to test my cards for high temperature (around 2A @ 70 deg).

With your input voltage range and 2A load, a temperature test with TPS63805 should be possible as well. The transient response of TPS63805 is slightly worse as it is designed for lower output capacitors, but other than this and the peak current capability the devices are very similar.
