BQ76942EVM: Stand-alone Balancing mode

Good day, colleagues,

My customer is testing the board  BQ76942EVM and can't enable Stand-alone Balancing mode. They follow reference manual and Cell Balancing with BQ76952, BQ76942. 

But CB bit stays in log=0

They set up respective bits in Balancing Configuration. All Alarm status set to log=0.

They tried with battery (6S1P) and with imitation of the battery.

Could you give some recommendations?

    Hi Darla,

    Yes, if you can send the configuration file (gg file) and a log of the undesired behavior that would be helpful. Also a description of what you are connecting for cells and where. 

    You mention an "imitation of the battery".  Note that with the resistor divider of the EVM the cell voltages will collapse during balance and it will end.  Knowing the characteristic of the battery simulator is important.
