Hi all:

For a lab research of batteries behaviour at charge/discharge different algorithm I would like to have the know-how how to calculate/estimate State of Health (SoH) and/or State of Charge (SoC)

status at different charge / dicharge treatments and what tools needed for it..

Looking for any source and advice to guide me into that subject.

Hi Dan,
If you are interested in the basics of gauging, we have plenty of training materials on training.ti.com (here for instance) or in presentations / videos recorded during our yearly BMS Deep Dive (here).

Otherwise, you can look into our add-on gauges, with the gauging algorithm TI developed, like BQ34z100-G1.

Hi ,

Thanks for your response to my questions.

I have desinged a board "around" BQ78952 but now would like to add additional battery 'life" data parameters like Soc, SoH and impedance/ resistance.

Looking for anther module that can be added to the design. Is the BQ34Z100-G1 can be used just for that purpose?

hi Dan,
In terms of gauge selection for BQ76952, you have 2 options: BQ4z100-G1 and BQ34110.
Both are able to provide SOC, SOH... and they differ by the gauging algorithm (IT vs. CEDV).
Please look at this post for more information on the differences between these 2 algorithms.
