LM5141-Q1: Disable Current Limit

Part Number: LM5141-Q1

Hello Everyone,

I am using LM5141-Q1 DC-DC Buck Convertor to make 8.8V.

In my design I am using DCR sensing with Inductor (652-SRP1265A-3R3M) 3.3uH and 5.8mOhm DCR and I designed it for Iout 10A.

But I am getting 5A only. So I want to disable its current limit.

Is there any way to do that?

I tried shorting CS and Vout pin but this doesn't help.

  • Hello,

Shorting CS to VOUT removes the current-sense signal, which is required for current-mode control.

Choose the RC sense network = L/Rdcr of the inductor, and use a small post-filter if needed at the IC pins. Route the traces away from noisy nodes such as SW, HO, LO.

    Regards,

    Tim
