TPS54302: Voltage between Vin and Vout

Part Number: TPS54302

Hi,

Is there requirement voltage between Vin and Vout? e.g. will it support Vout = 4.2 when Vin = 5V?

I understand TPS54302 support 100% duty. But could you please let me confirm if the device support Vout = 5V if Vin = 5V?

(I guess there is no time to charge external cap for charge pump when the duty rate is 100%).

Regards,
Nagata.

  • Hi ,

TPS54302 can support not real 100% duty, the high side FET would be turned off when the BOOT to SW pin voltage is lower than 2.1 V typically and the low-side FET is turned on to charge the boot cap.

And this 100% duty is related with the loading current . The smaller loading current , the larger duty can support . Meaning that it can almost support 5vin-5vout at light loading . The larger Vin may needed to support 5vout with larger loading current .
