Hi is it possible to put the BQ27Z561-R2 back to default factory settings?

I have been testing so much, that I don't know all changes to the registers any more.
Now I want to test my configuration to a new blank device.

Hello Marien,

Yes, you can upload the defaults in the bqStudio data memory tab (it's in the top right, data memory > import > import defaults) this will update any configurations or settings you input back to the default.

Hi Wyatt, I run BQ studio 1.3.101.
Im connected with the BQ27Z561-R2. Automaticly connected at program start.
When I doe the DataMemeory -> Import -> Import default. nothing seems to happen.
no message, no values are changed..

I did make a golden Image, from a new device. This succeeded.
But programming it to annother chip fails. no message, no values changed.
only a red cross icon

The Import defaults seems to have changed settings, but not all. for example: cc gain and capacity gain are as I had them..

Hello Marien,

You will need to used the advanced import defaults to select the calibration data also.

Hi Wyatt, I'll try this.
(in the mean time I did Program a golden image from a new device. This worked...
I think this issue answered..

Hello Marian,

Uploading the original .srec will clear everything on the gauge and re-upload the firmware. The upload default in bqStudio will only update the visable data flash in bqStudio.

Hi Wyatt, uploading the .srec did not work, Or I did not doe it correctly.
The. .bq.fs worked... but maybe i needed to .df.fs and .gm.fs aswell?

Hello Marien,

The .srec will work if uploaded correctly and it is the default .srec for the gauge. bq.fs is essentially the same information as the .srec, it contains both the IF and DF.

gm.fs is not for flash gauges. df.fs is only the data flash which will also work.
