Hi,

I have completed steps in SLUA379E document up to number 9, number 10 asks to reprogram the pack with a fresh .senc file to clear all hidden constants.

-Could you provide a fresh .senc file for BQ27z561-r2?

I have to create a new .gg file with different settings for another BQ27z561-r2, so my question is:

- Does the EV2400 need to be connected to the fuel gauge during the whole learning cycle? or can I charge, relax and discharge without it being connected?

Hi Brenda,

You can download the firmware on BQ27Z561-R2 product page, it's a .exe file, you'll get the .snec after you run it.

EV2400 is needed to observe the status of the learning cycle, you won't know if something goes wrong without it being connected.

Hi Abraham,

I downloaded the following file from BQ27Z561-R2 product page: www.ti.com/.../BQ27Z561-R2-DEVICE-FW

However when I try to use it to program the fuel gauge I get a message saying "ROM version is not supported by this tool. Please contact Texas Instruments to get an update"

-I am using bqStudio version 1.3.101

Can you send a screen shoot of the message? Is the file you are uploading a .srec file?
