TPS3809: Are pulse width spec will change when the VDD very close to the toggle threshold?

Hi Teams

Customer have questions about pulse width parameter of TPS3809.

In datasheet, tw spec is 10us under Vth+0.2V or Vth-0.2V condition. (Shown in below)

Customer want to know if the VDD is very close to Vit- (lower than Vit- but within 0.2V), the pulse width parameter is still the same or not?

I suppose such situation will very similar to comparator overdrive concept ?

Hi Gabriel,

Yes, you are correct about the situation is very similar to the comparator overdrive concept. The spec shows +/-200mV overdrive. If the overdrive is smaller, the pulse width would need to be extended.

Do we have data about how pulse width would needed when the overdrive voltage is very small?

Hi Gabriel,

Unfortunately, we do not have any data as this is an old part. Is this a new project that you are assisting the customer? We do have newer parts that you may suggest to the customer. The TLV809E is an option.
