Hello Gary,

Rg is not necessary, but in general I recommend to place a 0 ohm resistor there as it makes it easy to reduce the switching speed of the MOSFET, if necessary in case of noise or EMI.

Which resistor is meant with Rgs?

The Rgs is gate to source resistor like R2. Is it necessary for this application?

Hello Gary,

This resistor is pulling the gate low when the IC does not deliver a signal. We do not use it in our designs with this device. In general you can add it, but I would not place it at the beginning.
