LP5569: LP5569 - current per channel - running multiple LEDs per channel

Part Number: LP5569

Hello,

The LP5569 data sheet lists 25.5mA Maximum per channel. Does that mean that each individual R, G, & B line (LED 0 thru LED8) can hit 25.5mA or is it each RGB group (LED0-2, LED3-5, & LED6-8) can hit 25.5mA? Working n a design that will have two RGB group channels (LED0-2 & LED35) running two RGB LEDs. The last RGB group channel (LED6-8) will be running multiple LEDs in parallel. Just needing to confirm current per channel for LED selection.

Basically, is max current per channel mean:

LED0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 = 25.5mA each

or

LED0-2, 3-5, 6-8 = 25mA each grouping

  • Hi,

The maximum current per channel means each channel(LED0,1,2...8) can reach up to 25.5mA separately.

    "Basically, is max current per channel mean: LED0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 = 25.5mA each" is correct.

    Best Regard

    Monet Xu
