LM5166: Output Voltage Configuration

Hello,

I have a question on the LM5166 output voltage. The device says it is rated up to 65 V, however the datasheet is a bit vague on the adjustable voltage output. Is this device able to have a 24 V output?

I am reaching out to you over all channels of communication.

It should be.

Sometimes designing the output filter can be a little tricky.

With COT, getting a stable design is usually quite simple.

I would go ahead with a webench design if you have not done so already.

I know, great to hear from you again!

And that's what I was thinking too. I had designed a Webench configuration previously (Link Here: https://webench.ti.com/appinfo/webench/scripts/SDP.cgi?ID=99E8238D803E2FA3). I believe it was configured properly, however, when I went to export and simulate this in TINA, the output voltage was only simulating up to 6 V.

I'm curious if this is a question for the part, or if this is a simulation issue instead. Just let me know what you think, thanks!

It was only simulating up to 6V, in output voltage or input voltage?

It looks like schematic was designed for 24Vout.

I would go ahead with the schematic. Might be an issue with TINA...unfortunately TINA support is now non-existent.

Hi Marshall,

To answer your question, the output voltage was simulating 6 V.

My biggest question was ensuring that this device could have a 24 V output, is that still the case?
