UCC27524A: UCC27524A Drive noise problem

Part Number: UCC27524A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27524

Hi Team,

We are evaluating IR4427 and UCC27524, and currently I have encountered some problems,

  • Under the same driving situation, the turn-on waveform of UCC27524 has a lot of noise, and the turn-on speed is slower than IR442.

The circuit diagram is shown below:(R176=R199=47ohm)

IR4427 waveform is shown below:(Purple is IGBT Vge, yellow is Vce)

UCC27524Awaveform is shown below:(Purple is IGBT Vge, yellow is Vce)

It is easy to conclude that the turn-on time is longer under the drive of UCC27524. This makes me very puzzled. Our drive current is 5A, and it should be turned on faster. Why is it slow? And why is there a phenomenon of oscillating noise?

  • I modified the R176 resistor to 5ohm, and connected a 50nF capacitor in parallel with R179, the effect has been improved a bit. Do you have any suggestions for this? How should I adjust to make our performance better

Thank you for your help in advance!
