UCD9246: Fusion GUI Fatal error when changing the Switching Frequency

HI,

I am doing some testing on UCD9246 based power supply. When I chnage the switching frequency in GUI, the GUI is crashing and showing Fatal Error. I tried to change the frequency when all rails are in OFF condition. Is there any specific procedure to follow when changing switching frequency? I have inserted the xml file which is saved from the project.

Hi Kabir,

The current GUI version doesn't allow changing switching frequency when the part is on. We can release a newer version to allow this, but we usually suggest frequency only when the part is off to avoid abrupt change of the opperation.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I tried to change the frequency in offline mode also. But still GUI will crash. Some time when I reopen the GUI, I am able to get the changed frequency.

Hi, Kabir,

Thank you for reporting the issue. It is software bug and we will fix it in the next release. Meanwhile, you can use the SMBus/I2C/SAA tool which can be found on the main window -> Tools, to write frequency switch command . You can change the frequency switch when rails are off. Make sure to set the PAGE (code = 00h) to the correct rail. Sorry for any inconvenient.
