TPS61041: Varying output by changing voltage divider frequently

If I want to change the voltage output, can I connect a potentiometer to the voltage divider and adjust while enabled?

It would likely be a digitial potentiometer that changes resistance at close to 100 Hz - would that interfere with the feedback loop?

Hi Soren,

you can do that from theoretically if the FB pin can always sense the output voltage.

yes, the 100Hz may interfere with the feedback loop, or may be not. please check this in the real circuit, or change the frequency to 10Hz or lower.

Thanks - if I would use a PWM signal instead of a digital potentiometer; do you have any recommendations on how to do this?

Any TI products that supports that out of the box? Could do a DCDC voltage chopper with a mosfet manually, but it needs additional filtering to generate a stabile signal. I would think this a fairly common use case.

Hi Soren,

if you were talking about a solution as in this BLOG, https://e2e.ti.com/blogs_/b/powerhouse/posts/adjusting-vout-in-usb-type-c-and-wireless-charging-applications-part-1 . this is also OK to change the VOUT of device during its operation.
