Hi,

I am using the TPS61165EVM to drive an LED bar that is external to the module. The TPS61165EVM is designed for an input voltage of 5V ± 10%. I would like to use a different range, from 3V to 7V. Which components should I change?

Hi Gloria,

It's unnecessary and you can apply 3V-7V to the board directly.

Thank you very much for the answer, Robin. I would like to get the maximum possible output current. Won’t it be limited by this sizing, then?

Hi Gloria,

The output current is mainly limited by the TPS61165's internal current limit ( 1.2A) and external inductor's Isat.
