TLV707: Bode plot test

Hi Team,

My customer need to verify TLV70725. The questions are as below.

1. For bode plot test, could we directly add 10 ohm resistor on the output path? Or other suggestion resistor value?

2. How do we set the ripple injection of tester is reasonable (ex: 20mV-100mV)?

3. What is the tester setting for the result of datasheet

    a. Tester model?

    b. ripple injection level?

                   Please find below my responses to queries:

                  (1) Since the TLV707 is a fixed output LDO, the customer will not be able to perform Bode Test for stability as there is no access for the externally applied small signal(via injector) to reach the feedback node. So no resistor will help perform this test.

                  (2) For the purpose of performing Stability Bode Test, ripple injection will not help for the above mentioned reason.

                  (3) Regarding the tester model for to generate the PSRR curves, I will get back to you on that. The customer can use any Vector Network Analyzer such as Omicron Bode 100 or Ridley 200/300. To measure PSRR ripple, 100mV of input ripple is typical.  Iout of 10mA, Cout of 1uF and Vin = Vout + 0.5V are the tester conditions.

                  (1) I'm confused for "the customer will not be able to perform Bode Test for stability "and "no resistor will help perform this test."

                       Could we do Bode plot test on TLV707? If it can be done, no need to add resistor?
