Part Number: BQ27542-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCRB

Dear Team,

We already finish BP golden process, but in the static low temp test

our customer fund that RSOC will drop to 0% wile there no any discharge

but some  will not (stay at RSOC 100%)

see attach  "-BP6_stastc_SOC-2021-03-08 14-42-45-chan5-9897.xls" not drop SOC

"-BP6_stastc_SOC-2021-03-08 14-42-45-chan7-9899.xls" decline slowly

test method.

1.fully charge pack to RSOC 100%
2.stay pack at ambient temperature -20C for 10 hour

is this because of register RMHOLD100 = The fuel gauge will hold StateofCharge() at 100% while in an overcharge condition and not decrement until the charge surplus is equalized. Set to 1 to enable

please help, thanks

  • Hello Sam,

Can you also share the .gg file for the respective tests? Some of the settings could hold the RSOC depending on the conditions.

Have you used the GPCRB tool for low temperature calibration? This will be important for gauging at very low temperatures. It is normal for RSOC to decrease slightly with temperature changes because the internal impedance of the battery increases at cold temperatures.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
